Workplace

Pavel Rajmic has been employed as researcher at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology since 2004. He is a member of the team SPLab dealing with digital multimedia signals processing at the Department of Telecommunications. In 2001, he worked as a statistician in analyzing large-scale data coming from the longitudinal psychological research project ELSPAC at the Institute for Research on Children, Youth and Family by the Faculty of Social Studies MUNI Brno. He has been habilitated in 2015 at BUT and become a professor there in 2021.

Education

2001–2004: Ph.D. studies at FEEC Brno University of Technology, majoring in Teleinformatics. Dissertation thesis titled Utilization of wavelet transform and mathematical statistics for separating signal from noise (2004). Shortened version of the thesis with English summary at the end (PDF).
1996–2001: Master of science studies at the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University in Brno in the program Applied mathematics. Master thesis titled Utilization of factor analysis in processing of longitudinal data.
